These terms apply to your use of healthadmin.co.za. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
These terms cover the website only. If your practice engages HealthAdmin to perform work, that engagement is governed by a separate written agreement, and that agreement takes precedence over anything on this website.
Who this site is for
This website is aimed at healthcare providers in South Africa: doctors, specialists, practice owners, practice managers and billing staff. It is a business-to-business service.
HealthAdmin does not act for medical scheme members and does not offer a consumer claims service. If you are a member seeking help with your own claim, your medical scheme, your broker or the Council for Medical Schemes are the appropriate starting points.
The information on this site
Everything published on this site, including the Resources and Academy material, is general information about healthcare administration in South Africa. It is provided in good faith and believed to be accurate at the time of writing.
It is not medical advice, legal advice or financial advice, and it does not describe the rules of any particular medical scheme. Medical schemes apply the Regulations together with their own registered rules to the facts of each case, and those rules change.
Do not rely on this site as the basis for a decision about a specific claim, authorisation or patient without checking the position that actually applies.
No guaranteed outcomes
HealthAdmin provides administrative services. Decisions about whether a claim is paid, whether an authorisation is granted, and how funding is applied are made by the relevant medical scheme or its administrator.
Nothing on this site is a promise, prediction or guarantee that any particular claim will be paid, that any amount will be recovered, or that any authorisation will be granted.
Where figures describing past work appear on this site, they describe work already completed. They are not a forecast and they do not indicate what any future engagement will produce.
Enquiries through this site
Submitting the Practice Assessment form does not create a professional relationship between you and HealthAdmin. A relationship begins only when scope is agreed in writing between us.
Please do not submit patient medical information through this website. Do not include diagnoses, identity numbers, medical scheme membership numbers, medical records or clinical documents in any form on this site.
You are responsible for making sure that what you send us is accurate and that you are entitled to send it.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available and current, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the enquiry form will always be operational.
If the form is not working, please phone 084 301 6520. An enquiry is only received once it reaches us; a submission that fails has not been received.
Content and trade marks
The content, design, logo and wording on this site belong to HealthAdmin unless stated otherwise. You may read, print and share it for your own or your practice's internal use.
You may not republish it commercially, present it as your own, or use the HealthAdmin name or logo without permission.
Other organisations and links
This site refers to external bodies, including the Council for Medical Schemes and the Information Regulator of South Africa, and links to their websites. Those references are for information only.
HealthAdmin is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any medical scheme, administrator or regulator, and we are not responsible for the content of external sites.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, HealthAdmin is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
